It's important to note that results from a home paternity test can't be used as legal proof of paternity for things like child support, custody, or Social Security. Since the DNA samples are collected by the participants themselves at home, we can't follow the necessary chain-of-custody procedures, and the laboratory can't independently verify the identities of those being tested. If you need results for legal purposes, it’s best to consider a court admissible DNA test! 

 We need to gather information a little bit of information first so we can assign you a case number, and ensure we have your contract information to give you your results. We also make sure we answer any questions may have.

 A home paternity test kit comes with everything you need to test one child, and one possible father, and it's great to have the mother involved too! Her participation is included in the lab fee, and while it’s recommended, it’s not required.

 Absolutely! The results from a home paternity test are just as accurate as those from a legal paternity test. In fact, once the DNA samples reach the lab, the testing process is identical for both types of tests.  You can trust that the results of your home paternity test are reliable based on the samples we receive. However, keep in mind that these results are intended for personal knowledge and peace of mind. If you think you might need results for court now or down the line, feel free to reach out to us! 

 The home paternity test report doesn't include names because the lab cannot independently verify the identities of the test participants. We do ask for names on the sample envelopes to help with internal tracking and communication.  If you're looking for a report that includes the names of the sample providers, a legal paternity test might be the right choice for you. Unfortunately, we can't add names to a home paternity test report upon request.
